Went for Australia Day Celebrations. My whole family loved it! Lots of Great and interesting things to do and see, some things free and others were just a few dollars. Entry was super cheap! My small sons loved the reptiles and horses and penny farthing rides, my husband and i loved the historic value of the whole place... we will definitely go again! Lots of shady areas too, which was good for such a hot day. Make sure to buy some souvenirs whilst you're there, or grab a treat from the candy shop, or damper and tea from the cafe. Delicious!!!

Visited this place on Australia Day . Great spot for the family. A must see for any true Australian.

Tractor and train rides. Whip cracking. Water sprinklers and a sandpit for kids. A treasure hunt. An amazing ploughman's lunch for $12. Museum bits if you are into that. A working blacksmith and loads of covered picnic tables for just lounging around on. Well worth the $15 for a family ticket. Australia Day is huge here so be prepared for crowds if you go then.

I went there for an event so am not sure what is happening during opening hours. But I loved the place, looks like an old village and there are some animals and a mini lake. Really relaxing setting! I went by car so not sure if public transport could be an option.

Great historical, place to learn about how people lived and materials they used , to build there home's, back in the day's, it is a eye opener and appreciation of today's world , staff ( volunteers ) all happy and friendly, great day out for the family , cheap $5 for adults, $3 for children or $15 for family , you can buy food there and gifts , activities for the kids , little train rides and hay rides , a whole day of fun on cheap budget , recommend to anyone old or young
